This picture is not an accurate description of how this day went.• & yes I realize it's only noon...
I prepped. I stayed up until midnight decorating because this Easter was going to be freaking great!
Mommy-"Good Morning Happy Easter!"
Elly- Burst into tears, "I want a Carrroooot!" Then Maxine burst into tears because Elly was crying.
...ok today's going to be a good day. Mantra...
Cue opening Easter Baskets! I got her this awesome bunny who pops eggs across the room. Well... Elly was scared of it . So my mom tried to show her that it was "ok" by pointing the contraption at her and accidentally nailing her in the eye with a flying egg.
Laawd it's going to be a good day...
Sitting down to eat the lovely brunch I had made.
I got slapped in the face with a handful of ketchup, babies. I don't know how we got on the topic of my "loudness", newsflash I'm loud, and...? Anyways-- My husband started joking that Maxine would end up being hard of hearing and proceeded to "imitate" me by shouting "Raaawwwr!", successfully terrifying the heck out of Maxine who almost jumped out of my lap.
Elly-Swiping my mimosa and holding it in the air while standing in her highchair..."Maxine Dangit!Happy Easter!!!"
I kid you not, it was a show.
Happy Easter! From my family to yours. xo
