Contractions swallowed more minutes of my day and night than I thought possible. Though each one brings me a little bit closer to meeting this love of mine, the struggle to stay positive and not to curl up in a little ball and cry is very real. I have to continually remind myself to search for those moments where the light shines it's brightest, whether it's in the form of loving smiles from my daughter or the encouraging words from my husband. To recognize the good that surrounds me, and that the life I carry, no matter how hard it is at times, is a precious gift from God.
